Report: Hospital Quality Still Improving |
|
A Joint Commission report has found that hospitals continue to improve the quality and safety of patient care. The report, available at www.jointcommission.org, examined performance by accredited hospitals on 31 care measures, including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgery, and child asthma. Between 2002 and 2008, compliance with the quality measures improved significantly in each of the aforementioned domains.
