A New Respiration Rate Monitoring System |
|
The FDA approved an acoustic respiration rate monitoring system (Masimo Rainbow SET, Masimo) that provides noninvasive and continuous respiration rates for clinicians. The ability to automatically and continuously monitor the breathing status of post-surgical patients or care of patients in post-anesthesia settings may enable earlier detection of respiratory compromise and patient distress.
