New Data on The Effects of Ginkgo Biloba
There appears to be no evidence that Ginkgo biloba reduces total or cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality or CVD events. A study found that there were more peripheral vascular disease events in a placebo arm than for those receiving Ginkgo biloba. The authors did not recommend Ginkgo biloba for preventing CVD, but they noted that more clinical trials of peripheral vascular disease outcomes might be warranted.
